Exhibit a is what we like to call a ‘fixed gear’ bicycle. Note its clean lines and lack of brakes. Originally used in the velodrome these bikes have stolen the hearts of many inner city Americans, spawning a huge ‘fixed gear’ subculture. Whether in retalliation to rising petrol prices, the ineffeciency of cars, the dying planet or simply because they look cool… they are damn fun to ride.

Hesitant at first, though we like to keep our enemies closer* at Fin. Having said that, heres the “Feast My Brains” blog in all its black bowl-cut glory. 

* – We’re not really enemies, more rival bloggers – kind of friendly competition.

WA’s local rag, the ‘Margaret River Mail‘, has been producing some fine pieces of late – one of which pictures Adam Leuhman at the Box recently. 

Nothing special news-wise, though it’s 2-D proof that our western counterparts have been receiving some quality waves every day for the past two weeks. 

• Step one: Practice spins/rolls/spin-to-roll combo’s this autumn/winter at the beach whilst everywhere else is pumping,
• Step two: Send in “trials entry form” along with $210 dollars – aka your mortgage – to Bodyboarding Australasia,
• Step three: Utilise those spin/roll skills against hordes of other hopefuls (including IBA top 16) at a fat, boring point-break in Cronulla.

VU Clothing have signed some fresh 18-year blood to their team: Tait McCarthy (Sunny Coast), and Adrian Harper (Narrabeen).

These two guys seem to be raising day-to-day standards to a new level.
